However, VHS also offers the option for students to complete their entire OSSD curriculum online. Students, regardless of their location or previous educational experience, can obtain their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through Virtual High School, ensuring that every student has access to earning their OSSD.

Previously Educated in Ontario or Accumulating OSSD Credits Elsewhere?
OSSD credits earned from secondary schools outside of VHS are fully recognized and incorporated into a student's transcript, fulfilling OSSD requirements at VHS. Similarly, any OSSD credits earned at Virtual High School while concurrently attending another Ontario institution are transferred to their transcript there, contributing towards their diploma completion. The courses, expertise of the teachers, and adaptable model of Virtual High School seamlessly integrate into any OSSD program.

Educational Background Outside of Ontario?
Through the Equivalent Credit Assessment, students who have completed coursework outside of Ontario or at a non-inspected Ontario private school can still earn OSSD credits. Successful completion of high school-level coursework outside of Ontario may render equivalent credits applicable towards the OSSD, provided the previous courses meet the requisite standards. Determination of equivalency involves assessing the student's credentials as evidenced by their transcripts, report cards, and/or syllabus documents.
