Proficiency in your tutoring subject should be extensive, enabling you to instruct high school-level topics effortlessly. We particularly appreciate candidates specializing in Math, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Preference is given to individuals holding a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Education or pursuing a Bachelor's in Education. However, serious consideration will also be given to university students and degree holders with expertise in any of the mentioned subjects.
For a competitive application, grades must be above 90% for the individual subjects you are looking to tutor, unless you are an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) or in the process of obtaining OCT certification.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to undergo written tests for any STEM subjects they wish to tutor.
If interested, please submit a message detailing the grades and subjects you feel confident teaching, along with your high school and university transcripts, and a resume.
If you're looking to engage in English tutoring, you must be actively working towards an undergraduate degree in English or be pursuing an intermediate/senior OCT certification. For French tutoring, fluency in both languages is a mandatory requirement.
For Ontario Co-op students or Education Program students looking for a Practicum placement please contact us directly for more information.
