LEARN A COURSE

in 30 hours.

Learn any course you want before you take it in school.

Public and Private school courses are designed to be 110 hours in length. However, each course’s time allotment is broken down into lesson content, laboratories, quizzes, tests and work periods. We have found that the entirety of a course’s content can be taught effectively in only 30 hours.

Our Summer School Academic course preparation program spans a total of 41.5 hours. Each course comprises 5 to 8 units, with each unit containing 4 to 8 hours of lesson material, varying based on complexity. This totals 30 hours of instruction per semester. Each unit includes quiz assessments and concludes with a unit test. The course culminates with a comprehensive final exam.

Why the Learn-A-Course Program?

1.

Master the Material

For students facing difficulties in a specific subject they are obligated to take the next year, acquiring a prior understanding of the course material not only boosts confidence but also (i) concretely contributes to achieving higher grades and (ii) enhances cognitive familiarity with the content.

2.

Ease the Transition into the Next Grade

The initial period of the first semester often poses significant challenges for students as they adapt to the demands of a rigorous course load. The Learn a Course program is structured to emulate the routine of a standard high school course, integrating both learning and assessments. This approach helps to keep students mentally engaged throughout the program, minimizing setbacks during the transition period.

3.

Competitive Advantage

Numerous universities refuse to consider grades from repeated courses, deeming it an unfair advantage. Our Learn a Course program provides students with a comparable academic edge, as it goes unrecognized by universities as a course taken previously. This is because the program does not award Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit upon completion.
