High School Scholarship
1. Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to all Ontario Students who have graduated from an Ontario public secondary school. You must have overall average of 95% or higher for at least 6 of your Grade 12 marks. These marks must have been earned directly through day school and not through an private school, night school, summer school or online school.
2. Essay/Project Requirement
Essay Prompt: Please include a one page essay on “How do you plan to contribute to your community or field of study in the future?” Please also include in your writing submission where you will be attending university.
3. Evaluation Criteria
Judges will evaluate student essays for originality, clarity, and depth of thought.
4. Application Materials
Please submit a recent copy of your resume, high school transcript, and essay to diana@yorkregiontutoring.com. In your Subject line please write High School Scholarship
5. Selection Process
- Initial Screening: Applications will be reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
- Judging Panel: A panel of judges including the principal John Filippeos and the secretary Diana Li will be formed to review the essays and applications based on predetermined scoring criteria.
- Shortlist: Applicants will be narrowed down to a list of finalists.
- Final Selection: One winner will be selected based on their overall application.
